Course Description
In this course, students will interpret and apply federal and provincial statutes. They will interpret elements of offences related to the statutes. Federal statutes examined will be: the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Child and Family Services Act, and the Blind Persons Rights Act. Provincial statutes examined will be: the Provincial Offences Act, the Mental Health Act, the Liquor License Act, the Coroners Act and the Trespass to Property Act.
