Course Description
This course introduces students to a brief survey of sociological theories and methods. It includes a collection of theories, research, and "lived experiences" that accurately mirror the diversity in society itself. Topics in the course will integrate race, class, and gender issues, into sociological theory, including diverse theoretical viewpoints such as feminist and postmodernist theory. Students will learn that sociology involves important questions and issues that they will confront both personally and vicariously.
